Genome Laboratory prepares a course on updated GIP

Genoma Laboratorio, aware of the importance of proper training and updated knowledge for technicians responsible for advising and making decisions regarding pest control, is preparing a specific course on crop pests and their management under GIP standards for the months of October, November, and December of this year.

The course seeks to provide farm technicians, technical advisors, and specialized personnel working in plant pathology control with the most up-to-date experience and knowledge of IPM, through the selection of highly qualified and recognized faculty in the field of plant pathology.

There will be 12 sessions, two hours each, held on Tuesdays each week from 5 to 7 p.m., some in person and all online. The in-person talks will be held at the Ricote Valley Hub, which will also provide IT support for the online talks.

Genoma Laboratorio is working to recruit the most qualified and experienced faculty to provide the course with the greatest interest for students. Some of the faculty members who have already confirmed their participation are: Antonio Monserrat (IMIDA), Alfredo Lacasa (former IMIDA researcher), Joel González (UPV), Emilio García (SV Málaga), Alfonso Lucas (Independent Advisor), Félix Morán (IVIA), and Paco Calvo (UMU).

We will soon make the complete course program, registration forms, and all the conditions for participating available to interested parties through various means. We look forward to developing a specialized course of great interest to the sector.
