On November 9th, the 7tv Region of Murcia visited the Genoma Laboratorio facilities in the Las Salinas Industrial Park, in Alhama de Murcia, to learn about the facilities and interview its Technical Director.
After the visit to the facilities, José Manuel Lucas, CEO of the company, explained the activities carried out by Genoma Laboratorio, the areas it covers, and the methodologies it has developed. He also showed the characteristics of the laboratory's machinery, which is among the most advanced of its kind.
There was also talk about how important it is for the Region of Murcia to have such an advanced laboratory for such a unique and current topic. This allows the region's leading agricultural sector to benefit from its existence and the work it can carry out, in line with the demands of today's markets and society.
Although Genoma Laboratorio is currently focused on plant pathology, other sectors could benefit from its technology, such as veterinary medicine, food, human health, the environment, and more.
He also explained to 7tv, that Genoma Laboratorio is immersed in the accreditation process for the standard 17025, through ENAC, with accreditation expected by the end of the first quarter of 2024, which would provide a definitive boost to the laboratory's activity in all areas.
